How to play
Each puzzle gives you a job, like "Move 3 toothpicks to make 3 squares." You get exactly that many moves. When your moves are used up, the page checks your work. If the puzzle is not solved, it starts over. So think first, then move.
Drag a toothpick to a new spot. You can also tap it, then tap the spot where it should go.
Tap a toothpick to take it away.
Tap an empty spot between two dots to put a new toothpick there.

Big shapes count too
How many squares are in this picture? It is not 4.
No leftovers
Every toothpick must be a side of a shape. The pink toothpick here is not part of any square, so this would not count as solved.

Teacher note
There are puzzles: squares, triangles and numbers. Each set runs from warm-up to brain buster.
The page does not use one fixed answer for each puzzle. It counts the shapes a student built, so any correct answer is accepted. Shapes of every size count, and a leftover toothpick means the puzzle is not solved.
A student gets exactly the number of moves in the directions. Then the page checks the board, shows what was built, and starts the puzzle over if it is not solved. A gold star on a puzzle means it was solved on the first try.
Optional supplies: a box of flat wooden toothpicks for each pair, so students can test ideas on the desk before they spend moves on the screen. Flat ones do not roll away.
Progress and badges are saved on this computer only.
