Lock Quest: The Scout Camp Map

The camp chest is open!

Inside the chest are marshmallows, a flashlight, and a compass for every member of your team. Scout Bear salutes. "Nobody solves a map like that alone," he says.

Your mission

Scout Bear locked the camp chest and then lost every one of his codes. All he has left are five maps, and none of them come with directions. You will have to work out what each map is trying to tell you. Talk it over with your team, try your ideas on scratch paper, and check each other before you try a lock.

How to crack a lock

• Pick any lock from the menu at the top. You can solve them in any order.
• Read every clue before you start. One clue alone is never enough.
• Use scratch paper. Draw pictures, make lists, and cross things out.
• Tap the buttons to build your answer. Then press "Try the lock".
• A lock will not tell you which part is wrong, so be sure before you try.
