The trunk is open!
Poems flutter out of the trunk like a flock of paper birds. Quill hoots, "Your team is a constellation of stars!" And that, of course, is a metaphor.
You are now a Lock Master. Go tell your teacher!
Your mission
Quill the owl is a poet, and she keeps her best poems in a locked trunk. Poets love to compare things. A simile says one thing is LIKE another, or AS something AS another. A metaphor skips those words and says one thing IS another. Quill warns you: the words "like" and "as" do not always mean a comparison is happening.
How to crack a lock
- Pick any lock from the menu at the top. You can solve them in any order.
- Read every clue before you start. One clue alone is never enough.
- Use scratch paper. Draw pictures, make lists, and cross things out.
- Tap the buttons to build your answer. Then press "Try the lock".
- A lock will not tell you which part is wrong, so be sure before you try.
