Something is buried out here.
It has been in the ground for millions of years. No person has ever seen the animal it came from.
Your job is to find out what it was, how it moved, and what it ate. You get no photos and no videos. You get clues.
Paleontologists don't have a time machine. They have evidence.
Sharp eyes: three things in the picture above can be tapped.
I have a checkpoint code
Type the code you wrote down. It brings back your field name and every room you finished.

Before anything else, one question.
The last T. rex died about 66 million years ago. No human was around to see one. So how can scientists know what a T. rex was like?
Pick the idea that sounds most true to you right now.
Sealed.
Nobody is going to tell you if you were right. Not yet. Your idea stays in this envelope until the end of your training.
Then you will open it and decide for yourself, using evidence.

Teacher note
Checkpoint codes: the lab shows each student a code that changes every time they finish a room. On a computer that has lost its progress, "I have a checkpoint code" on the first screen brings back their field name and every finished room. A code only works on a computer with no finished rooms, and it carries its owner's field name. This box is for testing. Enter the teacher code to preview how the skeleton fills in, or to wipe this device and start over. Previews are not saved as student progress. To test the certification, use "Finish every room on this device". That one is saved, so reset the device afterward.
Certification
This door stays shut until every room in the lab is finished, the final challenge included.
One last envelope.
On your first day you sealed one idea inside this. Nobody told you if you were right. Nobody is going to tell you now, either. That is your job.
The wax has not been touched since day one.
