Welcome to the workshop

Leonardo da Vinci lived more than 500 years ago. He filled thousands of notebook pages with machines nobody had ever seen: flying machines, a robot knight, a suit for walking under the sea. Most of them were never built while he was alive. In this workshop, you get to try them out.

Inventor's Map

This path follows Leonardo's life in order. It has 12 inventions and one final project. Pick any stop to read about it.

    Review rounds

After every four stops, a review round mixes up questions from those stops. Each one has 6 questions. Can you get them all right?

Years with the word "about" are best guesses. Leonardo did not put dates on most of his pages.

    Workshop TV

Every stop you finish adds a video here. Pick one and watch it as many times as you like.

    Who was Leonardo da Vinci?

Watch the video. Then pass the quiz to open the rest of the workshop.

    The Da Vinci Museum

Most of these are real pages from Leonardo's own notebooks. Look closely at each drawing. Then guess what he meant it to do. You get one pick for each picture.
