The vault is open!
The great door groans open. Inside are exactly 4,261 gold coins, stacked in thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones. Count Digit bows. "Count them if you like."
You are now a Lock Master. Go tell your teacher!
Your mission
Count Digit locked his vault five ways. He loves place value. In the number 4,261, the 4 is worth four thousand, the 2 is worth two hundred, the 6 is worth sixty, and the 1 is worth just one. The same digit can be worth a lot or a little, depending on where it sits. Ten ones make a ten, and ten tens make a hundred. The Count hid his puzzles all over the castle, and he never explains anything. Look closely and work together.
How to crack a lock
- Pick any lock from the menu at the top. You can solve them in any order.
- Read every clue before you start. One clue alone is never enough.
- Use scratch paper. Draw pictures, make lists, and cross things out.
- Tap the buttons to build your answer. Then press "Try the lock".
- A lock will not tell you which part is wrong, so be sure before you try.
