How to play

Each puzzle gives you some colored paper clips and a list of clues. Put the clips in a row so that every clue is true. There is only one row that works.

Drag a clip to a spot. You can also tap a clip, then tap the spot. When the row is full, press Check my row. If your row breaks a clue, the page shows you which clue, and the row is cleared so you can try again. So read every clue before you check.

Clue words

Clue words have exact meanings. Look at this row, then read what is true about it.

Teacher note

There are puzzles in four sets. Clue Rows () are straight deduction with 3, 4, 5, then 6 clips. Every clue in those puzzles is needed, and each puzzle has exactly one answer.

Extra Clue () asks students to solve, then name the one clue that could be erased. A wrong pick shows another row that would also work without that clue. Fake Clue () has one clue that makes the set impossible. Two Answers () has clues that fit two rows, and students choose the extra clue that leaves one.

Students can move clips around as much as they like before they press Check my row. A wrong check marks the broken clues and clears the row. A gold star on a puzzle means it was solved with no misses.

Optional supplies: a small handful of colored paper clips (red, blue, green, yellow, purple, orange) for each pair, so students can test rows on the desk.
