The prize booth is open!
The shutters fly up. There are stuffed bears as big as you are, and about a hundred bouncy balls. Penny says, "About a hundred. Give or take."
You are now a Lock Master. Go tell your teacher!
Your mission
Penny the pig runs the prize booth at the carnival, and it is locked five ways. ROUNDING means swapping a number for a nearby number that is easier to use. To round to the nearest ten, find the two tens it sits between and pick the closer one. If it is exactly in the middle, like 35, it rounds UP. Nobody at this carnival will tell you when to round. Look for numbers that are almost something else, and work together.
How to crack a lock
- Pick any lock from the menu at the top. You can solve them in any order.
- Read every clue before you start. One clue alone is never enough.
- Use scratch paper. Draw pictures, make lists, and cross things out.
- Tap the buttons to build your answer. Then press "Try the lock".
- A lock will not tell you which part is wrong, so be sure before you try.
