Lock Quest: The Candy Shop

The candy jar is open!

The lid twists off with a pop. The jar is full of every color of jelly bean there is. Biscuit scoops out a paper bag for each of you. "Thinking is hungry work," he says.

Your mission

Biscuit the bear owns the candy shop, and the big jar on the top shelf is locked five ways. Biscuit never puts price tags or labels on anything. He says a customer who can think does not need them. Everything you need is in front of you. Compare, count, cross things out, and check each other's work before you try a lock.

How to crack a lock

• Pick any lock from the menu at the top. You can solve them in any order.
• Read every clue before you start. One clue alone is never enough.
• Use scratch paper. Draw pictures, make lists, and cross things out.
• Tap the buttons to build your answer. Then press "Try the lock".
• A lock will not tell you which part is wrong, so be sure before you try.
