Lock Quest: The Alien Fruit Stand

The fruit crate is open!

The crate pops open and glowing fruit floats out. The aliens cheer in a language made of bells. Zip takes a bite. "Tastes like blueberry lightning!"

You are now a Lock Master. Go tell your teacher!

Your mission

Zip the frog flew to a faraway planet and found a fruit crate locked five ways. Nothing on this planet has a label, a price tag, or a sign that tells you what to do. The aliens only show you what balances with what. Remember: an equal sign works like a balance scale. Whatever is on one side is worth exactly the same as what is on the other. Look closely, talk it over, and work it out together.

How to crack a lock

• Pick any lock from the menu at the top. You can solve them in any order.
• Read every clue before you start. One clue alone is never enough.
• Use scratch paper. Draw pictures, make lists, and cross things out.
• Tap the buttons to build your answer. Then press "Try the lock".
• A lock will not tell you which part is wrong, so be sure before you try.
